Leona Hildebrand

Soprano Leona Hildebrand has enjoyed making music since she was a child. Her love for singing and playing piano inspired her to pursue music studies in her young adult years garnering a Bachelor of Church Music from Canadian Mennonite Bible College (now CMU, Winnipeg, MB) and an Honours Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from Wilfrid Laurier University, Waterloo, ON. Participating in making music within the broader community is important to Leona. Beyond singing with Canzona she is involved in leading music in her local church, Springstein Mennonite Church, singing in and occasionally conducting the Steinbach and CMU Vesper Services and teaching private music lessons. Leona’s hobbies include making food at home and Camp Assiniboia, gardening and quilting.
