Tenor Josiah Brubacher graduated from Canadian Mennonite University in 2014 where he received a Bachelor of Music, with a concentration in senior years choral education. While at CMU, Josiah was busy with the mixed choirs, the men's chorus, and opera workshops. He also studied voice under the direction of David Klassen and performed two solo recitals. Since graduating, Josiah has been singing with Winnipeg Singers and Camerata Nova and he looks forward to working with Canzona as well. He has also worked with other choirs in Winnipeg, namely the Winnipeg Philharmonic Choir and the Mennonite Festival Chorus, and has studied voice under Mel Braun. Josiah has also been involved as a soloist, performing works by Schütz, Handel, and Bach. Early Baroque music is a favourite to perform, as well as German art song. When he is not in rehearsal, Josiah works as a carpenter for a home renovation company.
